The seal for the Ceres program showcases the SSTO¹ VTALOS² lifting off into space. The space behind the spacecraft is colored blue and shows stars in white. The shape of the emblem is a circle with the ship extending slightly beyond the boundary of the circle.
Symbolism
The design incorporates references to different aspects of the mission of the program. The round shape of the insignia represents Earth. The VTALOS lifting off and leaving that circle represents humanity leaving the earth. The stars represent the destinations and possibilities that lie ahead deep in space.
The Ceres program seal was designed in collaboration by the researchers and astronauts working at the Ceres program Headquarters located in Amsterdam.
